What is it? The longest-running and most significant Indigenous art prize of its kind nationwide, on display for free at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) until January 24, 2027.
Why go? Taking place on Larrakia Country, the Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (NATSIAA) celebrate the vibrant spirit and creativity of Australia’s most exceptional Indigenous artists. With a total prize pool of $190,000, you can expect to see diverse works from both well-known and emerging talents. All of the 2026 finalists' captivating artworks will be on show at the MAGNT, including winners of the best general painting, bark painting, work on paper, 3D art and multimedia, plus the prestigious $100,000 Telstra Art Award.
