Looking for things to do in Helsinki this week (13–19 July 2026)? We’ve rounded up the city’s best events and activities for every day of the week. Whether you’re into live music, exhibitions, festivals or simply making the most of summer in the city, you’ll find plenty of inspiration here.

On a sunny day, many Helsinkians need little more than a seat in the sun and a good drink in hand. The city’s terraces are perfect for exactly that, whether you fancy a cold beer, a glass of wine or simply watching Helsinki drift by.

For a more atmospheric and distinctly local alternative, seek out a lippakioski. These small, historic canopy kiosks are a familiar sight around the city and have found new life as tiny summer cafés, wine bars and food spots. They offer much the same pleasures as a terrace – sunshine, drinks and people-watching – but with considerably more Helsinki character.

Monday: Pasture visits to pet farms

Summer is the perfect time to visit one of the many farm parks around the Helsinki region. You can meet friendly animals at places including Uutela’s Skata Farm in eastern Helsinki, Talomuseo Glims in Bemböle, Espoo, and Katrineberg Farm in Vantaa. Spending time with and petting the animals is a wonderfully relaxed way to enjoy a summer’s day, whether you’re visiting with family or simply looking for a slower pace.

Be sure to check each farm’s website in advance for free-entry days, special events and opening hours.
