After five weeks of screamers, howlers, upsets and controversial calls, we’ve somehow already reached the final week of the 2026 World Cup. Nearly 300 goals have been scored across 101 matches as 48 teams have been whittled down to just four.
And now it’s time for the semis! First up, the losing finalists from last time round come up against the current European champions, as France take on Spain on Tuesday July 14 in Dallas, kicking off at 8pm BST.
And then it’s the big one; England face off with the reigning champions Argentina on Wednesday July 15. Practically every pub and bar in London will be getting in on the action and vying for your attendance during the World Cup’s biggest games.
However, we’ve whittled it down to the places that offer the best atmosphere and the best view of the screen, wherever you station yourself. You’ll need to get organised though! Many of these venues require advance booking, with tickets likely to sell out very quickly at this late stage in the tournament.
RECOMMENDED: The best football pubs in London.
When is the next England World Cup match?
After an extra time win against Norway at the weekend, England head to Atlanta to play Argentina this Wednesday July 15, kicking off at 8pm BST. It might be the first time the Three Lions have come up against the South American powerhouse since 2005, but these two teams have history; who could forget Maradona’s infamous Hand of God goal in the 1986 World Cup quarter final?
Argentina are marginal favourites going into the semi-final, but the current holders have been far from infallible this campaign. They needed extra time to break the deadlock in two of their three knockout games, and could have easily crashed out in the Round of 16 against Egypt, before a Messi goal and assist pulled them back from the brink.
So will the Three Lions defeat the GOAT? It’s all to play for.
RECOMMENDED: Where to watch if you support a different team.
How can I watch England’s matches at home?
World Cup coverage is split between BBC Sport and ITV. England’s game against Argentina will be broadcast on BBC1, with the build-up starting at 7pm ahead of the 8pm kick-off.
