What’s on

Botero: A Life in Fullness

A Life in Fullness pays homage to renowned Colombian painter and sculptor Fernando Botero with a 40-minute audiovisual portrait narrated by his eldest son. The installation at IMBA Theatre marks the world’s first-ever immersive experience dedicated to the artist’s journey – both as a creative and father. Combining large-scale projections, animations and soundscapes, the showcase plays out like a detailed biography, tracing and celebrating Botero’s life and enduring legacy, from his humble beginnings to becoming a global icon. The exhibition is told through anecdotes and family memories, giving the audience a peek into his personal struggles, humour and joys of making art. Life in Fullness runs alongside IMBA Theatre’s Botero: Heart of Volume, which presents the auteur’s vibrant paintings, drawings and sculptures in a thoughtfully designed setting that moves between intimate spaces and open, public environments.

Juju World

Missed out on Cj Hendry’s viral Flower Market a few weeks ago? Well, after making headlines for her art installation, the Australian contemporary artist is back again with yet another highly anticipated playful experience. This time, the exhibition is centred on her cult character Juju. For the first time, the whimsical bunny-like plush – recognised by its distinct floral eye detail – will be presented in a new sunshine yellow colourway and will be brought to life as part of a playground-style experience inspired by the toy series. Expect oversized inflatables, sculptural installations, and a giant ball pit that both adults and children can enjoy. Held at Gardens by the Bay’s IMBA Theatre, Juju World marks the global debut of the character’s physical universe. As part of the launch, expect a range of merchandise you can cop for yourself, including Singapore-only drops and giant-sized Jujus available only as pre-orders.
