Think July might be a quiet one? Well, think again, because you’re about to get booked and busy. This month, it’s major festival season – of every kind. There’s the Illustration Arts Festival, Singapore Garden Festival, and Glow Festival, plus youth celebrations and the return of Sentosa GrillFest.

It’s a huge month for jazz lovers, too, as Esplanade fills your days with endless jazz music. And while we know that the Singapore Grand Prix is still a few months away, who says you can’t get a head start on the night race fever? Look back on the sporting event as the F1® Exhibition Singapore finally revs into town. Here’s everything you should get up to this month.

From adorable pet-friendly experiences and gaming tournaments to beauty pop-ups and wellness workshops, the Singapore Retail Festival is turning your usual shopping trip into a full-day outing from July 4 to 26. 

Bring your furry friend along for the Pets and Pawrents weekend (July 4 to 5), complete with pet grooming, first-aid workshops, Pawtography sessions and caricatures. Gamers and collectors can look forward to the TCG and Gaming weekend (July 10 to 12), featuring an Exclusive Card Showcase, TCG tournaments, cosplay competitions and 34 retail booths. Then, recharge at the Lifestyle and Wellness weekend (July 17 to 19), where wellness brands, the 818 Bloom pop-up store by G-Dragon, beauty experiences and kids' workshops promise something for the whole family.

Esplanade is turning up the tempo this July with Jazz in July, a month-long celebration of all things jazz. Running from July 1 to 31, the festival features more than 100 free performances and workshops alongside four ticketed concerts by acclaimed international artists. Whether you're in the mood for intimate, romantic sets, lively big-band performances by the waterfront, or groove-heavy sounds that will have you tapping along, there's a jazz experience to match every vibe. 

Catch Brazilian vocalist and instrumentalist Nilze Carvalho, genre-defying American singer Gabrielle Cavassa, boundary-pushing trumpeter Peter Evans, and Grammy-winning keyboard virtuoso Bobby Sparks II as they bring their unique sounds to Singapore. Warm up your engines before the Singapore GP with the F1 Exhibition at Gardens by the Bay. This immersive showcase features seven themed galleries tracing the sport’s evolution from the 1950s to today’s high–tech spectacle. Explore iconic circuit moments, engineering breakthroughs and legendary cars like the 2011 championship–winning Red Bull RB7 up close. The display includes race suits and artefacts from teams like Ferrari and McLaren, a racing simulator to test your skills in the cockpit and a final gallery dedicated to the city’s historic night races.

Experience Indonesia’s vibrant creative scene first–hand as Masa Marketplace lands in Singapore. Themed A Sight into the Golden Indonesia Era, this month–long extravaganza celebrates community and collaboration across fashion, design, art, music, and food. The programme kicks off with a four–day showcase at Takashimaya Shopping Centre featuring over 80 Indonesian brands, including Santai Furniture and Roemah Koffie. The exhibition then shifts to Gardens by the Bay for a stunning display blending Nusantara folklore, flora, and Balinese naga sculptures with local orchids. Wrap up the experience on 12 July with Masa Sound at the Glass Dome, a contemporary concert showcasing acts like Matter Mos and Lullaboy.

Sentosa GrillFest is firing up Siloso Beach for four weekends of smoky flavours and beachside feasting. The 2026 edition features more than 40 stalls across four themed zones. Local Grill puts a smoky twist on hawker favourites like laksa and Hokkien noodles, while International Grill serves up open–flame global dishes like Taiwan sausage with sticky rice. Save space for Beachside Grill’s roasted snacks and sweet treats, or head over to the Marketplace to customise your dining experience using sustainably sourced meats and ocean–friendly seafood.

Sentosa’s 10–day beachside Glow Festival unfolds across six immersive zones. Sweat it out at Flow Studios, try ice baths at Recharge Bay, unwind at Mind Oasis or join hands–on workshops at Makers Meadows, with food and drinks at Glow Commons. The festival transforms between day and night, offering over 70 workout sessions led by international personalities like Joe Wicks and Emi Wong during the day. As night falls, the beach packs out with live performances from international stars Jason Derulo, Alessia Cara and HYUKOH, alongside local talents like Shye and Sobs.

Batik paintings take centre stage at Artcommune Gallery’s latest exhibition, Romanticisation of the Tropics. The showcase features the works of three major artists – Chuah Thean Teng, Choo Keng Kwang and Seah Kim Joo – who helped refine the art form in Singapore and Malaysia between the 1950s and 1970s. The exhibition explores how batik evolved from a traditional technique into a defining cultural motif. A key highlight is Choo’s massive five–panel mural, Tropical Charms I to V, originally commissioned to integrate local art into public hotel spaces.

Ice Cream Sundays is marking its 10th anniversary with its biggest bash yet, transforming its signature outdoor party into a massive birthday picnic on the field at Science Park Road. Melbourne–based DJ duo Wax’o Paradiso headlines the celebrations, supported by resident selectors Bongomann, Muto and Toppings, alongside Halia making her ICS debut. The family– and pet–friendly programme features portrait sketching, botanical headpiece–making, silk–screen printing, guided meditation and plenty of games, alongside a fully stocked pop–up bar and a variety of local food stalls.

Original trip–hop architects Massive Attack return to Singapore after more than a decade to perform at The Star Theatre on July 29, 2026. The Bristol collective will take the stage with a full live band and a powerhouse lineup of guest vocalists. Expect a heavy dose of timeless electronic classics like ‘Unfinished Sympathy’, ‘Teardrop’ and ‘Inertia Creeps’ – tracks from ground–breaking albums like Blue Lines and Mezzanine that rewired the sonic landscape. Mondrian Singapore Duxton is bringing a slice of Seoul to town with the third edition of its Seoul of the Party series. The month–long, K–inspired takeover spreads across the hotel with chef collaborations, afternoon tea and vinyl listening nights.
